Most people spend their lives dreaming of spending time in Paris, sipping wine in cafes and strolling the boulevards. Not photographer Sara Nataf. Born and raised in the storied city of lights, she made up her mind to get out of her home town as soon as she could. She became a professional snowboarder at the age of 18, which perfectly complemented her love of adventure and wet her appetite for travel of all kinds. After an injury cut her snow career short, she moved to NYC and took a position doing Global Communications at Vera Wang. It was there that she fatefully opened a cupboard and found an endless stock of Polaroid film inside. She began to document her wild life and the fascinating people in it with Polaroids just as everyone went digital, housing all her work on website as the perfect marriage of new school and old school. Through the exposure her site provided, new and interesting doors were opened. Nataf is now on staff with French magazine Jalouse and dedicates all of her time to traveling the world seeking adventure. She is a modern-day gypsy with a camera who continues to surround herself with inspiring people, shooting everything along the way.
